Three-time National Junior Boxing Champion
1999 Junior Olympic Gold Medalist and Junior International Silver Medalist
2007 National Golden Gloves Silver Medalist and winner of the prestigious Bill Daniels Courage Award
Had a 42-10 amateur boxing record.
Started 16 of possible 22 games at Liberty University for football at defensive end.
Honorable Mention Junior College All- American at New Mexico Military Institute playing Linebacker.

Qualifications
Was the Weekend Training General Manager at LA Fitness
Has trained in various programs and certifications including: Crossfit, P90x, Tabata, NASM, and Olympic style training for high performance.
Follows the Paleo Diet, which is considered by most enthusiasts’ the number one diet for high performance training.
Has worked as head boxing instructor at Next Level Combat, Woodbury, MN for the past year.

Association News

Affiliation with the Okinawa Shorinryu Mukenkai and Shimbukan Kobudo Associations in Okinawa

As of July 1, 2011 Mankato Martial Arts is the first dojo in the US to be affiliated with Akamine Hiroshi Sensei's Ryukyu Kobudo Shimbukan organization.  Tim Jurgens is one of his senior students in the US.  He is also the first foreign student to receive the title of Renshi in the Mukenkai Karate Association.
